Job Description

Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of technology transformation projects within the banking sector, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards. • Develop comprehensive project plans , including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management , and communication strategies, tailored to banking technology initiatives. • Demonstrate a strong understanding of banking products (e.g., loans, deposits, payments, trade finance ) and the broader financial services landscape. • Effectively manage and collaborate with diverse teams, including technology development, business stakeholders, and external vendors, within a banking context. • Apply both waterfall and agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies as appropriate to manage project execution and adapt to evolving requirements in a dynamic banking environment. • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues specific to banking technology implementations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle, with a keen understanding of financial implications within a banking institution. • Facilitate effective communication and reporting to senior management and stakeholders on project status, progress, and potential roadblocks, tailored to a banking audience. • Ensure compliance with relevant banking regulations, security standards, and internal policies during project execution. • Foster a collaborative and high-performing project team environment, mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices in banking technology project delivery. • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies within the organization, incorporating learnings from past banking projects. • Act as a Scrum Master when required, facilitating agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and ensuring the team adheres to agile principles for relevant projects. • Excellent excel and power point skills a must to be able to draft and explain data and business problems, updates to stakeholders and team.
