About Our Client
The client is a leading smart metering and power infrastructure company in India, known for delivering large-scale utility projects and advanced metering solutions. They are recognized for their innovation in AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) and have a strong presence across multiple regions, working closely with DISCOMs and government bodies.Role Overview:The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a single smart meter installation project. This role requires managing all project activities, including resources, budget, timeline, quality, and stakeholder coordination. The Project Manager will ensure smooth operations at the site level while aligning with the broader objectives set by the Project Director.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & Execution
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation for a single smart meter installation project.
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders for seamless execution.
Budget & Resource Management
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
- Track project expenses, procurement, and vendor payments.
- Forecast manpower and material requirements and coordinate accordingly.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications at the project level.
- Conduct regular status updates and progress reports for the Project Director.
- Address and resolve project-related issues and escalations promptly.
Compliance, Quality & Safety
- Ensure all project activities comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality benchmarks.
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures at the project site.
Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise project engineers, site supervisors, and other team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Support training, mentoring, and development of team members at the project site.
Key Deliverables:
- Successful execution of the project within agreed timeline, budget, and quality standards.
- Effective coordination and communication with internal teams, clients, and contractors.
- Timely reporting to the Project Director on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Compliance with safety, regulatory, and organizational standards.
The Successful Applicant
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering.
- 15 years of experience in project management of utility, power distribution, or smart meter installation projects.
- Strong knowledge of AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), smart grid, and DISCOM operations preferred.
- Proven ability to manage a medium to large-scale project independently.
- Good understanding of project management tools, budgeting, and resource planning.
