Job Description

planning, executing, monitoring, closing construction projects and patty contractors

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Scheduling:

    Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, milestones, resource allocation (

    patty contractors,

    manpower, equipment, materials) and procurement strategies.
  • Budget Management and Cost Control:

    Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets, track project expenses against the budget, manage cash flow, and handle change orders and variation claims.
  • Team Leadership and Coordination:

    Lead, manage and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams and on-site personnel. This includes hiring patty contractors/staff/subcontractors, delegating tasks, resolving conflicts, and ensuring effective communication among all parties.
  • Quality Control and Safety Management:

    Ensure all work adheres to construction plans, specifications, quality standards, and relevant building codes and safety regulations. This involves conducting regular site inspections and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Client Relations:

    Serve as the main liaison, providing regular project updates (progress reports, budget status, risks) to clients and internal stakeholders, and managing their expectations.
  • Risk Management:

    Identify potential project risks (financial, safety, environmental, delays) and develop proactive mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Contract and Documentation Management:

    Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors, obtain necessary permits and licenses from authorities, and maintain comprehensive project documentation, records, and reports.
  • Problem-Solving:

    Address any issues, delays, or emergencies that arise during the project lifecycle, implementing effective solutions promptly to keep the project on track.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Education:

    Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    10-20 years of relevant experience in construction project management, often in roles like site project engineer or project manager/incharge.
  • Technical Skills:

    In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, building codes, and safety standards. Proficiency in project management software and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings are essential.
  • Soft Skills:

    Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills are crucial for success in this role.
