Project Manager IT/software project management

We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager who can translate business goals into clear delivery plans. You'll sit at the intersection of technology and businessworking with customers, product owners, and engineering teams to scope, plan, and deliver software projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate understands modern software development (web/mobile/cloud, APIs, CI/CD) and can speak businessframing trade?offs, ROI, and risk in a way that helps stakeholders make confident decisions.

Key Responsibilities

End?to?end delivery ownership: Initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close projects per agreed scope, schedule, and budget.

Requirements to outcomes: Facilitate discovery, refine requirements/acceptance criteria, and ensure business context is preserved in user stories and delivery plans.

Agile execution: Run sprint ceremonies, maintain backlogs and roadmaps, and track velocity, dependencies, and release readiness.

Stakeholder & client management: Set clear expectations, run status reviews, and provide crisp, data?driven updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Risk, issue & change control: Maintain RAID logs, perform impact analysis, and drive timely resolutions; manage scope and change requests with transparency.

Financials & contracts: Track effort, burn, and budgets; support SOWs/SoWs, invoicing milestones, and profitability with basic forecasting.

Quality & readiness: Partner with QA to define test strategy and entry/exit criteria; coordinate UAT, cut?over, and hypercare; drive post?release reviews.

Cross?functional leadership: Coordinate engineers, designers, data/AI, DevOps, and vendors to remove blockers and keep outcomes on track.

Metrics & reporting: Use dashboards (e.g., Jira reports, burndown, cycle/lead time) to communicate progress and proactively course?correct.

Security & compliance awareness: Uphold client privacy, data protection, and basic secure?by?design practices in collaboration with engineering and IT.

Must Have

8 years of experience managing software/IT projects (agency, SI, product, or enterprise environments).

Practical knowledge of Agile/Scrum or Kanban, with the ability to adapt to hybrid models as needed.

Solid grasp of modern software concepts: APIs, microservices, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD, and basic data/AI terminology.

Strong business communication: able to translate technical detail into business impact, articulate trade?offs, and influence decisions.

Demonstrated stakeholder management with clients and senior leaders; calm under pressure and proactive in risk mitigation.

Hands?on with PM tools such as Jira/Confluence, Asana, Trello, NiftyPM or MS Project; comfortable with spreadsheets and slideware.

Excellent written and verbal communication in English; facilitation and negotiation skills.
