Project Manager

Role & responsibilities

The Project Manager will lead the entire project lifecycle for Holmiums IoT, Embedded, RMS, and Solar SCADA solutions.

He will be responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, resource coordination, client communication, team supervision, and successful delivery of projects.

This role requires strong technical understanding, excellent team coordination, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyfrom small automation deployments to large multi-MW solar SCADA implementations.

A. Project Planning & Execution

Understand client requirements and create detailed project execution plans.

Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Allocate tasks to field teams, production teams, and software teams.

Track project progress using tools (Excel, Sheets, JIRA, internal systems).

Ensure timely delivery of hardware, software, SCADA, and installation services.

B. Team & Resource Management

Manage and guide project coordinators, field engineers, and vendors.

Coordinate with internal departments:

Production (for manufacturing & dispatch)

R&D/Embedded team

Software/Cloud team

Support team

Ensure site engineers have BOM, documentation, drawings, and devices ready.

Assign responsibilities and monitor performance of team members.

C. Client & Stakeholder Communication

Act as primary contact point for client project teams.

Provide daily/weekly project updates.

Handle escalations, timelines, and scope changes professionally.

Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, integrators, and end clients.

D. Project Documentation & Reporting

Maintain project documentation:

Project plan

Site survey report

BOQ/BOM

Material dispatch records

Installation checklist

Commissioning reports

Prepare internal dashboards for management review.

E. On-Site Coordination

Conduct virtual/physical site visits when needed.

Understand SCADA wiring, communication topologies, Modbus integration, and plant architecture.

Guide site teams for installation, testing, and commissioning of:

Data loggers

Energy meters

Weather stations

PV-DG Sync

Zero Export controllers

SCADA panels

F. Quality & Compliance

Ensure all installations follow industry and company SOPs.

Work closely with QA/testing team to ensure device reliability before dispatch.

Ensure documentation and reports are properly completed.

G. Post-Implementation Review

Ensure successful client handover.

Support team in closing punch points and final documentation.

Conduct post-project analysis to improve future processes

trong understanding of IoT devices, communication protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP), RS485, LAN)

Knowledge of solar plant architecture, SCADA systems, and RMS devices

Understanding of sensors, energy meters, inverters, data loggers

Basic understanding of embedded hardware and software workflows

Ability to read wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLD), and network architecture

Preferred candidate profile

B.Tech / B.E. (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or similar preferred)

Minimum 56 years of relevant experience in:

Solar SCADA / RMS projects

Industrial automation

IoT & embedded projects

System integration

PMP certification is a plus but not mandatory.
