Project Lead, PDS Projects

We are seeking an experienced electrical project lead to oversee the electrical systems design and implementation for a large-scale data center project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Lead the electrical design and engineering efforts for the data center project, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, structural, and IT professionals, to develop integrated solutions.

Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of power distribution systems, including medium- and low-voltage equipment.

Manage the design and installation of backup power systems, including UPS and generators.

Coordinate with utility companies for power requirements and connections.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.

Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.

Supervise and mentor junior electrical engineers and technicians.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor installation progress and quality.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during construction and commissioning.

Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate project status and technical details.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years specifically in data center projects. Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale electrical projects. In-depth knowledge of data center power systems, including 2N and N+1 redundancy configurations. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NFPA). Strong understanding of energy efficiency practices and sustainable design principles. Excellent project management and leadership skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
