Job Description (JD) for Chartered Accountants (CA) Project Finance & Financial Reporting

Position:

Role Summary:

Project Finance

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Finance Management:

• Prepare, review, and manage project finance models, including cash flows, financial forecasts, and fund requirements.
  
• Assist in structuring project finance deals, including debt and equity financing, and work with project teams to assess financial feasibility.
  
• Prepare and review loan documentation, financial covenants, and compliance reports related to project financing.
  
• Support the negotiation of project financing terms with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.
  

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including quarterly and annual reports, in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  
• Perform variance analysis, ensuring accuracy of financial statements and alignment with the budgeted projections.
  
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project financials, cost tracking, and reconciliation.
  
• Liaise with internal teams to gather required financial data and ensure reporting aligns with organizational goals.
  

• Stakeholder Communication:

• Collaborate with senior management, project teams, and external stakeholders to communicate financial information, project progress, and performance.
  
• Prepare presentations for internal/external stakeholders and management committees.
  
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to help drive business decisions.
  

• Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, standards (IFRS, GAAP), and statutory requirements.
  
• Evaluate project financial risks and assist in developing strategies for risk mitigation.
  
• Conduct financial audits and internal reviews to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  

• Process Improvement:

• Continuously identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting systems.
  
• Support automation initiatives to streamline project finance and reporting workflows.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from a recognized institute.
  

• Experience:

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in

  Project Finance

  ,

  Financial Reporting

  , and

  Financial Analysis

  .
• Experience in managing and structuring

  project finance

  deals, financial forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financing negotiations.
• Proficient in financial reporting, with a strong understanding of

  IFRS/GAAP

  accounting standards.

• Key Skills:

• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  
• Proficient in financial modeling, MS Excel, and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  
• In-depth understanding of financial analysis techniques, variance analysis, and project financials.
  
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  

• Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to Australian financial regulations (if applicable).
  
• Knowledge of the
