Project Engineering Manager

Role & responsibilities

• To be responsible for the interface and coordination between all Project stakeholders, including Client, EIP Project Team, ENKA HQ, Project Management, Detailed Design Office, Construction, and Procurement.
• Proactively monitor and guide third-party design teams to ensure adherence to project schedules and cost forecasts.
• Raise a red flag whenever detailed design is about to get into a situation where the overall Project schedule and cost are at risk, and employ means and initiate actions to mitigate.
• Ensure that general business processes are carried out in accordance with the company's information security requirements and rules.
• Participate in key meetings like Kick Off meetings, Project schedule meetings, and Design Review Meetings with the Client and/or its Engineer, Suppliers, and third-party consultants,
• Verify that engineering groups adhere to energy-related regulations and standards,
• Assess and mitigate potential risks in the design and development phase and implement strategies to mitigate them.
• Track project progress as per planned dates committed in the Master Document Register (MDR),
• Monitor and resolve open action items for engineering and take the necessary actions.
• Oversee the Engineering KPI for the project,
• Continuously check the engineering budget and feed the input of the engineering budget for the Project Forecast Reviews.
• Support the collection of lessons learned during the execution phase of the Project.

Preferred candidate profile

• At least 20 years of experience

  in design with a minimum of 10 years in the leadership of a cross-discipline/function Project task force.
• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Piping/Plant Design Engineering.
• Extensive Oil & Gas EPC project experience with proven conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to encourage the people and participate in teamwork.
• Foster an environment for building team morale and generate a sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency within the team.
• Familiarity with corporate engineering procedures and ISO/QA standards.
