Job Description

As a Project Engineer specializing in Power Quality Solutions at Hitachi Energy Technology Services, you will play a crucial role in the technical execution and successful delivery of power quality improvement projects. Your responsibilities will include designing, specifying, commissioning, and supporting cutting-edge solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability. - Lead and manage the technical aspects of power quality projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards. - Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and bill of materials for power quality solutions such as active harmonic filters, STATCOMs, surge protection devices, and power factor correction equipment. - Oversee the integration of power quality equipment with existing electrical infrastructure, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. - Plan, execute, and document factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) for power quality solutions, ensuring proper functionality and performance. - Provide expert technical support to customers during installation, commissioning, and operation, troubleshooting complex power quality issues and proposing effective solutions. - Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including engineering drawings, operational manuals, test reports, and project progress reports. - Act as a key technical point of contact for clients, presenting technical solutions, addressing inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction. - Work closely with sales, R&D, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure seamless project execution and continuous improvement of power quality offerings. - Identify potential technical risks within projects and develop mitigation strategies. - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your background should include: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a closely related field. A Master's degree is a plus. - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a project engineering role with a focus on power quality solutions, electrical systems, or industrial automation. - In-depth knowledge of power quality phenomena and their impact on electrical systems. - Proficiency in power quality analysis tools and software. - Familiarity with power quality mitigation technologies and industrial control systems. - Ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously, work effectively in a team, and independently. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite and engineering design software. - Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required. - Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.,
