Project Engineer II

Role Overview: As a Project Engineer at Digital Grid Management (DGM), an AspenTech and Emerson business, you will be part of a fast-paced, growing high-technology company. DGM is a world leader in the Operations Technology (OT) field, developing and supplying state-of-the-art energy management, optimization, and control software solutions to energy utility companies globally. Your role will involve supporting the delivery of real-time control systems for leading energy utilities across various markets. You will contribute throughout the full project lifecycle, from system design and integration to testing, documentation, and commissioning, focusing on implementing SCADA, HMI, and other utility software applications built on AspenTech OSI's Monarch platform. This position offers you the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a customer-facing role and gain knowledge in critical infrastructure technology. Key Responsibilities: - Understand project requirements by engaging with customers and internal stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams when necessary. - Evaluate technical specification requirements for projects, assess risks, and develop mitigation plans. - Design, integrate, test, and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems. - Provide system/application design and networking support. - Perform installation, integration, and factory functional testing of hardware, software, SCADA, HMI, and related functionalities. - Create project documentation and assist in developing training materials as required. - Track project progress, document activities, and report any technical issues. Qualifications Required: - 2-5 years of experience in SCADA systems, industrial automation, or grid control solutions. - Bachelor's degree in electrical, Electronics & Communication, or a related engineering field. - Familiarity with utility protocols such as IEC104, IEC101, DNP3, Multispeak, and IEC 61850, along with ICCP integration concepts. - Proficiency in RDBMS tools like MySQL, PostgreSQL, ODBC, and reporting tools. - Exposure to software configuration, system integration, and testing in live environments. - Understanding of operating systems, networking, and system architecture fundamentals. - Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines. - Willingness to travel, typically up to 25%, to domestic and international customer sites. Note: Preferred qualifications include an understanding of software project delivery lifecycles, proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (C#, Python, etc.), SQL knowledge, familiarity with networking principles (TCP/IP, routing), and an interest in working on mission-critical utility systems.,
