Role Overview: We are in search of a seasoned engineer with expertise in rubber expansion joints, encompassing design, material selection, production oversight, and quality assurance. This pivotal technical position requires a candidate who has successfully managed end-to-end expansion joint projects and possesses the ability to autonomously handle design, procurement, manufacturing, and quality control processes. Key Responsibilities: - Design and engineer rubber expansion joints utilizing CAD (2D/3D) to generate production-ready drawings. - Source and procure bought-out components such as flanges, tie rods, and reinforcements with meticulous technical acumen. - Oversee production operations to ensure adherence to dimensional accuracy, curing standards, and finishing quality. - Develop and implement comprehensive quality control measures encompassing visual, dimensional, and functional testing. - Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to guarantee prompt and specification-compliant project delivery. - Resolve design or production challenges by implementing practical and efficient solutions. Requirements: - Minimum qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech preferred). - Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD or equivalent) is mandatory. - At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the design, manufacturing, and quality control of rubber expansion joints (experience limited to metallic joints will not be considered). - Thorough understanding of rubber compounding fundamentals, reinforcement techniques, and joint geometries. - Proficient in vendor management and procurement processes for bought-out components. - Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with production teams, vendors, and clients. - Strong sense of accountability and meticulous attention to detail.
