ABOUT AWEKSHA

Aweksha (‘Care’ in Sanskrit), a Bengaluru-based women’s trust working on gender-based violence issues, is inviting applications from enthusiastic and passionate individuals for the position of Project Coordinator, a full time role.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The selected candidate should be able to start immediately. They will work closely with the President and other team members to lead & support various programmatic and administrative aspects of the organization, Aweksha.

As Project Coordinator, you shall:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the organization to ensure smooth execution of projects and activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders; contribute actively to advocacy efforts on issues of gender-based violence.
  • Plan, Manage, Coordinate and implement projects from a gender perspective.
  • Draft and edit official correspondence for meetings with stakeholders and government officials; while managing ongoing communication on behalf of the organization.
  • Liaise with partners; serve as the point of contact for all coordination and organizational communication.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s Degree in social work, women’s studies or gender studies
  • Minimum 2 years’ of work experience in the development sector
  • Proficiency in English and Kannada
  • Strong understanding of gender-based violence
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach
  • Writing skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month

  • Richmond Town, Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
