Project Asst in Vibration Isolation

My research lab in Mechanical Engineering @ IISc Bangalore is looking to hire a full-time project assistant with expertise in Experimental Vibration Isolation

Responsibilities

• mechanical design iterations in CAD
• design fabrication (3D printing, machining)
• automation of simple test setups involving Arduino/pi boards, motors, stages, load cells, accelerometers & DAQ
• experimental testing (load-displacement tests, visualization)

Qualifications

• undergraduate or postgraduate degree in engineering (disciplines in mechanical sciences)
• prior hands-on expertise in vibration/controls/experimental mechanics, with a min of 1-year of experience.
• make a short presentation of your prior work as part of the selection process

Pay will be commensurate with IISc norms.

The appointment will be an initial probationary period of one month and will subsequently be extended every quarter.
