Job Description

VASCSC is looking for young science postgraduates having sound understanding of science and an interest in innovative education. Responsibilities Conducting science education, popularization activities Facilitating students' projects, practical and activities in VASCSC labs Handling visits of the schools at VASCSC Conducting sessions in teachers training Assisting in the development of STEM TLM Conducting school outreach activities Facilitating mobile science lab/exhibitions Documentation, other tasks as assigned. Qualifications First-class postgraduates science/mathematics, or engineering graduates in relevant disciplines. Skills In-depth subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, ability to address large groups of audience, lateral and 'out of the box thinking', ability to engage children in an interesting and meaningful manner, proficiency in computer applications. Fluency in English is a must. Knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi desirable. Problem-solving approach, strong ideals, and a desire to serve as a catalyst for popularizing science are desirable. Positions are based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The work would involve travel. The candidate should be self-motivated, medically fit, and willing to travel as and when required. Fixed-term position, initially for one year; extendable. Salary Consolidated salary in the range of Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 31,000 per month.
