Nature & Scope of Work

:  Development of theoretical models for beam–wave interaction in Extended Interaction Klystron (EIK) amplifiers.  Programming and development of computational codes in MATLAB or Python, including GUI for importing and exporting simulation parameters.  Simulation of beam modulation, cavity interaction, gain–bandwidth, output power, and efficiency.  Comparison and validation of developed code with commercially available softwares or available reference results.

Qualifications

Essential Qualification:  Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology (ECE / EEE / E&I / Applied Electronics / Instrumentation / Physics-related Engineering Streams) OR  Master’s Degree in Physics / Electronics / Applied Physics / Engineering Physics / related disciplines from a recognized University. Desirable Qualification:  GATE / CSIR-UGC NET qualified candidates will be given preference.

PhD Registration Opportunity (Optional)

The selected candidate will have the provision to register for PhD at VIT Chennai through VITREEE in the January / July 2026 admission cycle, subject to fulfilling VIT Chennai PhD eligibility norms and successful performance review during the project period. After the completion of the project fellowship duration, the PhD fellowship will continue as per VIT Chennai PhD scholar norms.Last Date for Application Submission 15-Nov-2025 Tentative Date for Interview 19-Nov-2025 (Confirmed status will be updated through email) Joining: Immediate Duration of the Position: The appointment is purely temporary and contractual.
