Details of Role : A Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production processes Asset reception and management Coordinating inwarding & commissioning of machines & early deployment into production Demonstrate competency in understanding the machine reception for production deployment - Review from Ease of use, Mistake proofings, Geometry protocols, special sub-routines and general readiness perspective. Institutionalizing the practises to manage the equipment like TPM, Maker-Checker, Work cell self sufficiency etc Resource Management Hiring, training, deployment and discipline management of manpowerCoordination with L&D, Human resource for necessary support with respect to manpower management activities Demonstrate sensitivity towards to diverse pool of team members Ensure shift plannings and advance communications are executed in time Provide guidance, training & support to team members Safety Compliance Ensure that all production operations comply with safety regulations and standards Problem Solving Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the production process, such as equipment malfunctions or staffing shortages. Demonstrate aptitude in understanding the situations and create problem statements, think with data and demonstrate out of the box approach Communication and Collaboration Communicate effectively with other departments, such as engineering, Planning, and Quality to coordinate activities and ensure smooth operations Should have hands-on experience of facing audits, collaborating with cross functional teams, expediting the critical processes etc Process Improvement Seek ways to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality Lead initiatives to encourage innovations and improvements Reporting and Analysis Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze production data, and provide reports to management Should have experience of losses analysis, apply tools like Pareto, Weighted average, Root cause analysis, fishbone diagram, reorder point, OEE Material masters, Consumptions etc Have deeper understanding of concept of Bottleneck and know well the actions to de-bottleneck MS Office tools - Excel, Powerpoint and WordMaintain rhythmic operations through compliance to Standard work processes, timely reviews and actions monitoring Responsibility Leader of Production department for a modern machine shop producing high precision components of Aero-Engines. Language proficiency Proficiency expected in English Proficiency in Hindi or Telugu or Marathi or Odiya or Tamil is added advantage
