Job Summary

The Junior Production Supervisor assists in overseeing daily production activities to ensure smooth operations, timely output, quality compliance, and workforce discipline. The role involves coordinating with production staff, maintaining records, and supporting senior supervisors in achieving production targets safely and efficiently.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations

• Assist in supervising daily production activities as per production plan.
• Ensure machines, manpower, and materials are utilized efficiently.
• Monitor production output and report variances to senior management.
• Support implementation of production schedules and timelines.

Manpower Handling

• Supervise shop-floor workers and contract labor.
• Allocate work to operators as per skills and shift plans.
• Maintain discipline, attendance, and productivity of workers.

Quality & Process Control

• Ensure production activities follow approved drawings, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Conduct basic quality checks and report defects or deviations.
• Coordinate with QC team for inspections and corrective actions.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to safety rules and use of PPE on the shop floor.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses.
• Support 5S and housekeeping activities in the production area.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Maintenance, and QC departments.
• Maintain daily production reports, manpower reports, and material consumption records.
• Assist in inventory tracking of raw materials and finished goods.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of production processes and shop-floor operations.
• Ability to manage workers and communicate instructions clearly.
• Knowledge of quality standards and safety practices.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, production reports).
• Problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering (preferred).
• 0–3 years of experience in manufacturing / fabrication / interior production.
• Fresh diploma holders may also be considered.

Working Conditions

• Factory / shop-floor environment.
• Shift-based work as per production requirements.
• Standing and movement on the shop floor required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
