Production Supervisor

As a Shift Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include overseeing and coordinating production activities to achieve production targets for each shift. You will be required to monitor workflow, identify any bottlenecks, and ensure the smooth running of operations. Keeping track of production output, efficiency, and downtime, as well as enforcing quality control measures and conducting regular inspections of work-in-progress and finished products, are crucial aspects of the role. Addressing quality concerns through corrective actions and supporting continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste will also be part of your duties. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting machinists with job setups, tooling selection, fixture setup, and machine adjustments. Providing technical guidance in troubleshooting CNC program issues, as well as modifying and optimizing CNC programs as necessary, will be essential. Leading, motivating, and supervising production operators and technicians, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring smooth shift transitions are all vital components of the role. Conducting training sessions to enhance workforce skills and fostering a safe and productive work environment are also key responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this role should hold a Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related field, possess 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in CNC machining or metalworking, and have prior supervisory experience in a production environment. Strong knowledge of CNC operations such as milling, turning, cylindrical grinding, technical drawings, CNC programming (G-code), and CAD/CAM software will be advantageous. The ability to work in shifts effectively, along with a good understanding of quality control principles and safety regulations, is highly desirable.
