Job Description: Overview: Windowstein is seeking an experienced and proactive Factory Floor Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations on the production floor. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in supervising manufacturing teams, preferably in the UPVC window and door industry. As a Factory Floor Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring quality standards, maintaining equipment, and supervising a team of operators and technicians to meet production goals. Key Responsibilities: Production Supervision: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the factory floor to ensure smooth and efficient production. Coordinate production schedules and ensure deadlines are met. Monitor production processes and adjust workflows as necessary to improve productivity. Quality Control: Ensure adherence to quality standards for the production of UPVC windows and doors. Perform regular inspections and maintain consistent product quality by managing in-process checks. Work with the Quality Assurance team to address any quality concerns and implement corrective actions. Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of factory workers and operators. Provide guidance and support for workers to ensure adherence to safety guidelines, processes, and production standards. Conduct training and orientation for new employees. Maintenance & Equipment: Ensure that factory machinery and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition. Monitor and address any maintenance issues, and coordinate repairs with the technical team. Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and enhance productivity. Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce factory safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and initiate corrective actions where necessary. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and health & safety regulations. Inventory Management: Manage raw material inventory, ensuring timely procurement and adequate stock levels to avoid production delays. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of materials and components needed for production. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of production reports, quality checks, and any issues faced during manufacturing. Provide regular performance reports to management and recommend process improvements. Requirements: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment, with a preference for candidates from the UPVC windows and doors industry. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly in the window and door production field. Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of safety standards and quality control processes in manufacturing.
