Production Supervisor

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Set clear daily, weekly, and monthly production objectives and effectively communicate these goals to workers to ensure alignment with company targets. Plan and organize the workflow by assigning specific tasks and responsibilities to team members, preparing production schedules, and ensuring the efficient use of resources and personnel. Oversee the work of production employees, providing guidance, training, and support as needed to ensure high-quality output. Coordinate regular maintenance schedules and address any immediate maintenance needs to minimize downtime. Enforce and ensure the safe use of machinery and equipment, promoting a culture of safety on the shop floor. Ensure production goals are met according to specifications and deadlines. Track performance and address deviations from the production plan promptly. Submit detailed and accurate reports to the Production Incharge regarding production progress, challenges, and any actions taken to resolve issues. Monitor production processes to identify inefficiencies or problems and work collaboratively with the team to suggest and implement improvements. Provide training to new employees on machinery operation, safety procedures, and manufacturing processes to ensure that all team members are proficient and capable of meeting production standards. Work closely with quality control teams to address and resolve any issues related to product defects or quality issues. Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving product quality Foster a positive, productive, and respectful working environment by addressing any employee concerns, promoting team collaboration, and resolving conflicts effectively.
