Role Purpose

The Production Foreman is responsible for supervising shop-floor execution activities and ensuring façade components are fabricated and assembled as per approved drawings, quality standards, safety norms, and daily production plans. The role focuses on hands-on supervision, workforce control, productivity, and coordination with supervisors and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day shop-floor activities related to fabrication and assembly of façade components
• Ensure work is executed strictly as per approved shop drawings, work instructions, and production plans
• Allocate and monitor fitters, welders, helpers, and machine operators on the shop floor.
• Achieve daily production targets by controlling manpower, materials, and machine utilization
• Identify and report drawing clarifications, material issues, or production constraints to the Production Supervisor
• Ensure quality workmanship and minimize rework by closely monitoring fabrication processes
• Support QA/QC inspections and ensure rectification of non-conformities within timelines
• Enforce safety practices, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards on the shop floor
• Maintain daily production reports, attendance, and basic material consumption records
• Guide and train workers on correct fabrication methods, tools, and safety practices
• Coordinate with Stores for material issue and return, ensuring proper usage and traceability
• Monitor discipline, attendance, and productivity of the workforce

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong hands-on experience in façade fabrication (aluminium, steel, glazing, or cladding systems)
• Ability to read and understand basic fabrication and assembly drawings
• Good people-handling and shop-floor coordination skills
• Awareness of quality standards and safety requirements in manufacturing
• Practical problem-solving ability on the shop floor

Qualification & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fabrication, Civil, or relevant trade
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in façade fabrication or related metal fabrication industry
• Prior experience as a Foreman or Lead Fitter is preferred

Reporting To

Production Engineer

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
