PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

A Production Engineer in the automobile industry is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes, ensuring the efficient production of vehicles or automotive parts. The role focuses on improving production methods, maintaining quality standards, troubleshooting, and optimizing the use of machinery and labor. Here's a detailed job description:

Job Title: Production Engineer – Automobile IndustryKey Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning & Coordination:
  • Plan, organize, and monitor production processes to ensure smooth and timely manufacturing of automotive parts or vehicles.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet deadlines and avoid delays.
  • Collaborate with various departments (e.g., design, quality control, procurement) to ensure all components are available for production.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Analyze production methods and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement programs (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma) to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Work on automating processes or introducing new technologies to increase production capacity.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure all products meet strict quality standards set by the company and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production lines to identify any quality issues.
  • Work with quality assurance teams to resolve defects or production issues quickly.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
  • Ensure the production equipment and machinery are well-maintained and operate efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any machinery breakdowns or production stoppages.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team for scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance of production equipment.

  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output, defects, machine performance, and downtime.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management on production performance, challenges, and improvements.
  • Document changes to processes, equipment, or standards as required.
  • Collaboration with Design and R&D Teams:
  • Work closely with the design and R&D teams to provide feedback on manufacturability and cost optimization for new vehicle models or parts.
  • Assist in the transition from prototype to full-scale production, ensuring the manufacturing process is scalable and efficient.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educational Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in a production engineering or manufacturing role, preferably in the automobile or automotive parts industry.
  • Knowledge of production processes like casting, machining, welding, assembly, and painting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹19,953.14 - ₹68,336.58 per month
