Role Summary:

Production Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Melting & Casting

• Supervise melting of copper, zinc, and alloy scrap / cathodes to prepare the right copper-brass grades (like CuZn37).
• Ensure chemical compositions meet specifications through spectrometer analysis.
• Oversee casting of billets or ingots for extrusion.

Extrusion & Piercing

• Plan heating and extrusion of billets through extrusion presses to form mother tubes.
• Ensure proper die alignment, lubrication, and control extrusion parameters to achieve quality output.

Cold Drawing & Pilgering

• Manage multi-stage cold drawing processes to reduce tube size and achieve final dimensions.
• Supervise pilger mills or drawing benches to maintain close tolerances.

Annealing

• Oversee annealing processes to restore ductility and relieve stresses after cold working.
• Ensure controlled furnace atmospheres to minimize scaling.

Straightening & Sizing

• Handle straightening operations and final sizing to meet dimensional accuracy.

Cutting & End Finishing

• Manage cutting of tubes to required lengths, and oversee end-facing or deburring operations.

Quality Control

• Implement rigorous inspection protocols including:
• Eddy current or ultrasonic testing for internal defects
• Dimensional & surface checks
• Mechanical property tests (tensile, elongation)
• Ensure products comply with international standards like ASTM B68, B75, EN 12449, etc.
