Job Description

Role Overview: As a Production Operative/Machine Operator, your main responsibility is to set up, run, and maintain manufacturing machinery to ensure efficient production of goods that meet quality and safety standards. Your role involves operating equipment, monitoring its performance, conducting routine maintenance and quality checks, inspecting products, troubleshooting issues, and following safety guidelines and production schedules. It is essential that you possess attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Key Responsibilities: - Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate specialized machinery for the manufacturing process. - Setup & Calibration: Prepare and calibrate machines according to production specifications before each cycle. - Monitoring & Adjustment: Monitor machine performance, identify potential issues, and make adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency. - Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on products, remove defective items, and ensure the final output meets specifications. - Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, basic maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment. - Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve problems that arise during machine operation to prevent production disruptions. - Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all company safety rules, procedures, and manufacturing standards. - Record Keeping: Maintain activity logs and records of defective units and production output. - Material Handling: Measure raw materials and load them into the machines as part of the production process. Qualification Required: - Mechanical Aptitude: A natural ability to understand and work with machinery. - Attention to Detail: Crucial for conducting quality checks and noticing subtle operational issues. - Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions effectively. - Communication: Clear communication is vital for coordinating with team members and reporting issues to supervisors. - Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of an assembly line or production team. - Flexibility: Adaptability to changing work conditions and quick responses to equipment malfunctions. - Physical Stamina: The role may involve physically demanding tasks, including handling materials and operating equipment.
