Production Operative/Machine Operator

A Production Operative/Machine Operator sets up, runs, and maintains manufacturing machinery to produce goods efficiently and according to quality and safety standards. Key responsibilities include operating equipment, monitoring its performance, performing routine maintenance and quality checks, inspecting products, troubleshooting issues, and adhering to safety guidelines and production schedules. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, strong communication, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate specialized machinery for the manufacturing process.
• Setup & Calibration: Prepare and calibrate machines according to production specifications before each cycle.
• Monitoring & Adjustment: Monitor machine performance, identify potential issues, and make adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on products, remove defective items, and ensure the final output meets specifications.
• Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, basic maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve problems that arise during machine operation to prevent production disruptions.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all company safety rules, procedures, and manufacturing standards.
• Record Keeping: Maintain activity logs and records of defective units and production output.
• Material Handling: Measure raw materials and load them into the machines as part of the production process.
