Production Manager (Molasses & Mineral Blocks)

Role Overview: As a Production Manager for molasses and mineral block manufacturing, your role will involve planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily production activities. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient production while meeting quality and safety standards. Monitoring raw material inventory and optimizing production processes for efficiency, yield improvement, and cost reduction will be crucial. Developing SOPs, supervising production staff, maintaining production records, implementing GMP and HACCP standards, conducting quality checks, and leading daily production meetings while ensuring HSE standards are followed are key aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities for molasses and mineral block manufacturing. - Ensure timely and efficient production while meeting quality and safety standards. - Monitor raw material inventory and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment. - Optimize production processes for efficiency, yield improvement, and cost reduction. - Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production activities. - Supervise and train production staff, ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols. - Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance for preventive and corrective actions. - Maintain production records, including batch numbers, material usage, and output. - Implement and maintain GMP and HACCP standards as required. - Conduct quality checks and work closely with QA/QC departments to ensure compliance with specifications. - Lead daily production meetings and report on KPIs like output, downtime, wastage, etc. - Ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards are strictly followed. - Coordinate with R&D for trials of new formulations or process improvements. - Prepare production forecasts and budgets as required by management. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Animal Nutrition, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in molasses/mineral block production or feed supplement industry. - Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Familiarity with mechanical processing equipment like mixers, molders, dryers, etc. - Knowledge of quality systems like ISO, GMP, and HACCP. - Proficient in production planning software and MS Office tools.,
