Production Manager - Machineshop

• Machining Operations:
• Plan and coordinate machining activities, including turning, milling, boring, and grinding operations.
• Ensure optimal use of CNC, VMC and manual machines, such as lathes, mills, and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs).
• Monitor production schedules to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining high quality.
• Team Leadership:
• Supervise and guide machinists, operators, and technicians in the machine shop.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to improve team skills and productivity.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address team concerns proactively.
• Equipment Maintenance and Optimization:
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for routine and preventive maintenance of machining equipment.
• Ensure that machines are calibrated and functioning efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Identify opportunities to improve tooling, fixtures, and machining processes.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain records of machine utilization, production metrics, and downtime.
• Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports to the Production Manager.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Experience:
• 5-10 years of experience in a Managerial role within a Machine shop.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machines, tooling, and machining processes.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Familiarity with machining software (e.g., CAD/CAM systems).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
