Production Manager (EMS Operations)

ensuring timely production, maintaining quality standards, and providing regular and accurate updates on production timelines and progress

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage end-to-end

  production operations

  at partner EMS units.
• Plan and execute production schedules to meet customer and project delivery timelines.
• Coordinate closely with

  procurement, R&D, and quality teams

  to ensure material readiness and smooth production flow.
• Monitor production progress daily/weekly and ensure adherence to delivery commitments.
• Conduct periodic factory visits to supervise assembly, testing, and packaging operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to

  quality standards, documentation, and traceability requirements

  .

• Prepare and share regular production status reports, dashboards, and updates

  with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Communicate any risks, delays, or schedule deviations proactively with mitigation plans.
• Support

  New Product Introductions (NPI)

  by coordinating pilot runs and implementing feedback.
• Work closely with QA/QC teams to resolve issues related to rework, line rejections, and non-conformities.
• Track and document key metrics such as yield, output, and material utilization.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with EMS partners to ensure performance

consistency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.

• 46 years of experience

  in production or manufacturing operations within

  electronics/EMS environments

  .
• Solid understanding of

  PCB assembly (SMT/THT), testing, and product integration

  processes.
• Proven ability to

  manage multiple EMS vendors

  and coordinate across cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of

  BOM structures, production planning, and quality control processes.

• Excellent

  communication and reporting skills

  ability to provide clear, timely, and professional updates to both customers and internal teams.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and report presentation tools.
• Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel to EMS sites for audits, reviews, and production follow-ups.
