Company Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day production operations for polymerisation (acrylic), PU systems, and pigment manufacturing.
  • Oversee batch planning, scheduling, and process optimization to meet production targets while ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs: yield, cycle time, wastage, energy consumption, downtime, and more.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis).
  • Mentor and manage a team of operators, shift leads, and supervisors.
  • Coordinate with R&D, quality control, maintenance, and procurement teams to align processes and resolve production bottlenecks.
  • Manage troubleshooting of production issues (e.g., polymerisation control, viscosity, heat transfer, catalyst operations).
  • Prepare and maintain detailed production documentation, batch records, SOPs.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising on safety and quality.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits and certifications (ISO, safety audits, regulatory audits).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or equivalent. Master’s preferred.
  • 8–15 years of experience in production / operations in a chemical manufacturing environment (specifically in acrylic polymerisation, PU systems, or pigment manufacturing).
  • Hands-on experience with batch polymerisation, reactor operation, and scale-up.
  • Strong knowledge of polyurethanes (PU), acrylic resins, emulsions, or pigment chemistry.
  • Experience in managing safety and environmental regulations in chemical plants.
  • Proven track record of leading production teams, driving process improvements, and achieving KPIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in process software / production planning tools is a plus.
