Production Engineer

You will be responsible for designing and developing new rubber compounds based on customer requirements and industry standards, as well as optimizing existing formulations to improve performance, durability, and cost-effectiveness. Your role will involve conducting physical and chemical tests on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods, and analyzing test data to determine the properties of rubber compounds such as tensile strength, elongation, hardness, and aging characteristics. In addition, you will develop and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality, troubleshoot processing issues, and provide technical support to the production team. Ensuring that products meet specified standards and regulatory requirements will be a key part of your responsibilities, including developing and maintaining quality control procedures and documentation. Staying up-to-date with advancements in rubber technology and industry trends, conducting research on new materials, additives, and technologies, and providing technical expertise and support to sales, marketing, and customer service teams are also crucial aspects of the role. You will be expected to assist customers with technical inquiries and product development projects, as well as maintain detailed records of formulations, test results, and process changes. Adherence to all safety protocols and regulations in the laboratory and production environments, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and ensuring a high level of quality in all processes will be essential. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in rubber technology or a related field, proficiency in rubber compounding and processing techniques, knowledge of physical and chemical testing methods for rubber materials, familiarity with quality control standards and regulatory requirements, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in using laboratory and office software applications, and personal attributes such as being detail-oriented, highly organized, able to work independently and as part of a team, possessing strong time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
