Production Engineer - Electronics Systems

Role Objective

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise electronics production lines, including assembly, calibration, integration, and testing of electronic and mechanical subsystems.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and ensure adherence to production timelines, cost, and quality targets.
• Troubleshoot issues in avionics, propulsion systems, power distribution, and communication modules during production and integration.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC team to ensure compliance with ISO, DGCA, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
• Manage Bill of Materials (BOM), track components, and ensure timely availability of parts and materials.
• Maintain detailed records of production activities, test results, and failure reports.
• Collaborate with R&D, Design, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth product realization.
• Ensure adherence to ESD safety, calibration procedures, and production environment protocols.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Electrical / Mechatronics / Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university.
• Diploma holders with extensive electronics production experience may also be considered.
  Experience.
• 2 - 6 years of experience in electronics production, preferably in electronics, aerospace, or defense manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience in electronics assembly, testing, and troubleshooting will be an added advantage.
• Experience in leading a Team.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of PCB assembly, soldering, wiring harness, sensors, and telemetry modules.
• Familiarity with electronics subsystems (flight controller, propulsion, payload integration).
• Working knowledge of MS Office, ERP systems, and production management tools.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and team management skills.
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies preferred.

Preferred Certifications (Optional):

• IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 Certification
• Drone Pilot or Maintenance Certification (DGCA recognized)
• ISO 9001 / AS9100 awareness training
