Jr. Production Engineer(Heavy Sheet Metal & Fabrication & Machinery Knowledge)

Please Note:We are looking for an experiencedProduction Engineerwithstrong knowledge of Fabrication, Sheet Metal, Machining, Forging, and Casting processes. The candidate must have expertise in drawing reading, AutoCAD (or equivalent design software), and BOM creation to support accurate and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage production activities on the shop floor.

Handle Fabrication processes includingRubbing, Grinding, Welding, Spot Welding, and Sheet Metalwork (MS, SS, Aluminium with knowledge of grades).

Operate and monitorCNC, VMC, Manual Lathe, Milling, Pressing, Cutting, and other conventional machines.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documents.

CreateBOM (Bill of Materials) and BOQfrom engineering drawings.

Ensure correct usage of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Gauges, etc.

Monitor raw material usage, plan requirements, and ensure quality compliance.

Knowledge of Forging and Casting processes for mechanical parts.

Coordinate with Design, Quality Assurance, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery.

Implement safety and efficiency practices in daily operations.

Candidate Requirements

Diploma / B. Tech / BE in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).

35 years of hands-on experience in Production / Fabrication / Machining industries.

Strong knowledge of Sheet Metal (MS, SS, Aluminium), their grades, and applications.

Proficiency in AutoCAD / SolidWorks / other drawing software.

Ability to read, interpret, and convert drawings into production plans.

Practical knowledge of forging, casting, welding, and machining processes.

Strong problem-solving, team coordination, and shop floor management skills.
