Product Tagging Validation Specialist, AVP

Role Overview: You will be working as a Product Tagging Validation Specialist at AVP level in Mumbai, India. Your primary responsibility will be to validate the product name assigned to trades across all asset classes globally. This role involves ensuring that the correct product names are used for model appropriateness and trade classification for various reporting processes. You will be part of the Valuations Control (IPV) team and will collaborate with various teams such as Front Office, Global Model Validation Group, Pricing Analytics, Group Audit, and Global Technology. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze products and trade booking to determine the logic required for automatic product type and feature determination. - Ensure approved product-model combinations are used and identify exceptions for remediation with stakeholders. - Engage with IPV business aligned teams to provide visibility on exceptions and calculate reserves for model limitations/deficiencies and appropriate IFRS levellings. - Enhance the business as usual (BAU) process by improving validation efficiency and accuracy to convert it into a daily process. - Collaborate with developers to implement validation logic consistently and document it adequately. - Work with Trading and Strats to address product tagging and definition issues for improving the Model Risk Control environment. - Manage operational risk by documenting processes and cross-training staff. - Develop technical expertise to engage with technical experts from divisions outside of Business Finance. - Prepare presentations and communicate progress to Auditors and Regulators. Qualification Required: - Previous experience working with banking products and understanding their booking process. - Experience in interacting with Front Office business leaders. - Knowledge of pricing and modeling of derivative products. - Familiarity with the front-to-back architecture of Investment Banks. - Programming experience in SQL, C++, Python would be advantageous. - Degree with 2.1 or above (or equivalent). - ACA, CIMA, CFA, or a relevant Masters Degree. - Strong knowledge of derivatives products. - Control-focused, deadline-oriented, team player with high attention to detail.
