As a Product System Design Engineer at Husk Power Systems, you will be a key member of the state-of-the-art product development team for the BEEM business segment. Your role will involve creating premium solutions for residential solar rooftop installations by transforming conceptual product ideas into tangible prototypes. Below are the details of your role: **Role Overview:** You will play a crucial role in the design and development of innovative product prototypes for residential solar rooftop installations. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, designing prototypes using CAD software, analyzing project goals, and testing prototypes for refinement. **Key Responsibilities:** - Participate in brainstorming sessions to identify design requirements and project scope. - Collaborate with research and development teams to incorporate usability and marketability into product designs. - Ensure all technical and aesthetic aspects of a product are considered. - Design and develop product prototypes using CAD software and 3D modeling. - Analyze project goals and perform structural calculations for each project. - Present technical drawings and design proposals to management teams. - Test prototypes to refine design parameters and address functionality issues. - Document design processes and adhere to project timelines and budget constraints. - Stay updated with the latest trends in design and manufacturing technology. - Coordinate with manufacturing teams to implement production processes aligned with design specifications. - Perform quality assurance testing and troubleshooting post-production. - Oversee project management, including tracking budgets and maintaining project progress database. - Develop analytical processes/tools to improve analysis and repair efforts. - Define and document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies. **Qualifications Required:** - Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. - 7+ years of hands-on product design experience. - Strong analytical skills in mechanical engineering theory. - Proficiency in 3D CAD software and tolerance analyses. - Working knowledge of FEA principles and DFM challenges. - Wide knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes. - Excellent communication skills and experience working in multi-disciplinary teams. - Experience with design software like AutoCAD or Revit. - Strong technical background in structural design. - Proven drafting skills and experience with Finite Element Models. - Project management experience and leadership skills. - Experience collaborating with Asian manufacturing facilities. - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
