Product Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Product Engineer to join our R&D team focused on Electric Mobility solutions. This role involves end-to-end product development of EV component such as chargers, DC-DC converters, and USB chargers. The ideal candidate will also take ownership of systems engineering tasks, including requirements definition and system architecture development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead product development activities for EV/electric components including DCDC converters, chargers, power banks, and USB chargers.
• Coordinate with CFT for product development.
• Drive the product lifecycle from concept to production handover.
• Write, manage, and release system-level requirements in coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain system architecture for components/product.
• Conduct technical feasibility analysis and ensure alignment with vehicle-level architecture.
• Prepare and manage BOM and component selection
• Plan and execute design verification and validation (DVP).
• Conduct design reviews, and documentation of configuration files and feasibility studies.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong understanding of EV components: DC-DC converters, AC-DC chargers, USB chargers, etc.
• Experience in automotive product development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies, including UML/SysML for requirement generation.
• Knowledge of vehicle-level physics and architecture.
• Familiarity with embedded hardware and power electronics.
• Hands-on experience with test & measurement tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
• Experience in automotive embedded systems and system architecture.
• Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MPP).

Desirable Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience with analog, digital, and embedded hardware circuit design.
• Knowledge of Flyback (AC-DC), DC-DC converters, LDOs, and microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with communication interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Modbus, USB, RS485, Ethernet.
• Exposure to application software development tools: MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++, NI.
• Understanding of functional safety (ISO 26262), intrinsic safety, and EMI/EMC compliance.
• Experience with metering circuits, signal conditioning, lock control, PMIC, Supercap, RFID, and cell modems.
