Product Development Executive (Garments)

You will be responsible for collaborating closely with buyers to comprehend their requirements, preferences, and changing market trends. Your role will involve conducting research on emerging styles, materials, and design inspirations to develop innovative product concepts. You will create mood boards, design proposals, and product concepts that align with buyer expectations. Additionally, you will oversee the timely development of samples and prototypes while ensuring precision and high-quality standards are maintained. Managing the sample approval process, incorporating buyer feedback, and maintaining detailed records of buyer specifications, orders, and revisions will be crucial for seamless product development. Collaboration with merchandising, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery of buyer orders will also be a key responsibility. Furthermore, you will prepare visually compelling PowerPoint presentations for buyer meetings, product pitches, and internal reviews. Generating engaging content to showcase collections, fabric selections, and design inspirations in a professional and creative manner will be essential. Ensuring brand consistency across all presentations, marketing materials, and product showcases is another aspect of this role. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Business, or a related field, along with 1 to 2 years of experience in garment design and product development. A strong understanding of product development cycles, fabrics, trims, and manufacturing processes is required. Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is essential. Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills are vital for this role. The ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be beneficial.
