Product Design Engineer

As an Engineer at Kmedika Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a medical device engineering startup based in Hyderabad, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in Engineering design and development. You will have the exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of medical devices, making a significant impact in the healthcare industry. Your essential duties and responsibilities will include generating concepts and mechanical designs for Orthopedic implants and surgical instrumentation. You will be tasked with creating complex 3D models and manufacturing drawings following best engineering design practices. Additionally, you will conduct engineering analyses such as tolerance stacks, FEA structural analysis, and FMEA. Your role will also involve assisting in the development of verification and validation protocols, tests, and reports to ensure that devices meet technical requirements in terms of function, performance, and safety. Moreover, you will play a key role in creating presentations and drawings to effectively communicate and document solutions, design rationale, and recommendations. While performing your duties, you may also be assigned other tasks as necessary. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree and/or master's in mechanical engineering along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in product design, product development, or R&D environment, preferably within the medical device industry. Proficiency in Solid Works with advanced modeling skills is essential, and having CSWE or CSWP certification is highly preferred. You must possess a strong working knowledge of engineering principles, including GD&T and drafting standards per ASME 14.5 Y. Your analytical reasoning skills will be put to the test as you influence key decisions based on technical judgment. Experience in utilizing Design for Manufacture/Assembly and Design for Test methodologies will be advantageous. Familiarity with conducting FEA of structural performance is also desirable.
