Product Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Essential skills or experiences:

• Bachelors degree in product design or mechanical engineering is required
• 10+ years experience in product design (preferably consumer electronic products i.e. Handheld/portable device)
• Proficient in written English (95%@work) and experience collaborate with overseas clients
• Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility to collaborate with both EMS and Foxconn’s PD engineer and cross function team
• Comfort working in a quickly changing environment within product development phases and builds
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with process management design for electronic assembly and handheld tool design.

Preferred (or what we offer for training):

• Proven ability in 3D CAD modeling systems and workflow, UG NX or Solidworks fluency desirable
• understanding knowledge of mechanical design principles, including GD&T, materials and manufacturing processes
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
• Working with Labs and knowing the equipment to resolve issues
