Product Compliance Engineer

As a Hardware Test Engineer, your role involves understanding and creating documents for electronics, electrical, and mechanical hardware designs required for 3rd party test agencies such as Intertek, UL, and TUV. You will be responsible for verifying pre-compliance at product and module levels for machine safety, EMI/EMC, and other certifications. Your tasks include creating test cases, test plans, and test environments for functional safety testing and certification testing for internal customers and test laboratories. Your feedback will play a crucial role in deciding whether to proceed with the design for production. In this role, you will drive the testing of electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical components within a cross-functional team structure. You will be accountable for ensuring end-to-end product compliance from design to field installation and acceptance testing. Your input in suggesting design improvements and feedback based on test results will be valuable for the team. Additionally, you will be performing reliability tests, including customized and standard tests such as HALT-HASS and Certification, as well as abnormal and safety tests as per requirement documents. A basic understanding of electronics schematics and layout is required. Moreover, you should have knowledge about IEC, UL, CE, EN, CSA safety standards, LV, and Machine directive standards. Understanding functional safety for programmable electronics and safety devices is also essential for this role.,
