Job Summary:

buying and managing equipment and materials

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage purchase orders based on project requirements.
• Handle RFQ/RFI processes (inquiries, quotations, and bids) for equipment and materials.
• Negotiate with suppliers and manage order follow-ups, confirmations, and invoicing.
• Coordinate with suppliers for on-time delivery and resolve issues or claims.
• Maintain supplier data, performance reports, and procurement MIS.
• Work closely with project, logistics, and quality inspection teams.
• Ensure compliance with metal & mining industry sourcing rules and policies.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical) or Business degree; post-graduation in procurement preferred.

• 4+ years experience in project or plant procurement (chemical, process, or equipment industry).

• Good knowledge of equipment like pumps, blowers, heat exchangers, towers, piping, etc.
• Strong in communication, negotiation, and supplier management.
• Hands-on with SAP and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and handle pressure.
  

Good to Have:

• Understanding of logistics, quality inspection, and documentation.
• Familiarity with procurement MIS and reporting tools.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills and professionalism.
