Role Overview: As an Assistant Manager in the Procurement RM department, you will play a crucial role in coordinating various procurement activities to ensure efficient material and service delivery. Your responsibilities will include preparing QCS, purchase orders, and work orders, as well as vendor follow-ups. Additionally, you will be involved in coordinating with logistics, warehouse teams, and end-users to facilitate smooth material movement and resolve issues promptly. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare QCS (Techno-commercial Quotation Comparative Statement). - Create and send out purchase orders/work orders to vendors/contractors. - Follow up with vendors/contractors for timely material/service delivery. - Coordinate with logistics to bond materials at the port. - Collaborate with the warehouse team to generate MRNs for bonded materials. - Arrange for the movement of materials from the port/vendor site as per the schedule. - Coordinate with end-users and warehouse for MRNs. - Issue letters of credit to vendors in coordination with finance. - Evaluate vendors and develop new vendor relationships. - Ensure 100% audit compliance and support plant audits and emergencies. - Review pending PRs and open POs periodically to streamline the procurement process. - Identify and dispose of non-moving items regularly. - Close CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions). - Ensure statutory compliance and familiarity with relevant laws and procedures. - Conduct periodic visits to plants and vendor workshops. - Participate in CFTs (Cross-Functional Teams) as necessary. - Share domain knowledge with the team. - Coordinate with end-users and vendors to resolve issues, prepare meeting minutes, and circulate MOMs (Minutes of Meetings). - Fulfill any other tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
