Job Summary:

Procurement Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to obtain best pricing and quality.
  
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  
• Monitor and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
  
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, price, delivery, and responsiveness.
  
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
  
• Assist in developing procurement strategies that support business goals.
  
• Collaborate with internal departments (finance, operations, inventory, etc.) to understand their purchasing needs.
  
• Ensure compliance with relevant procurement policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
  
• Handle issues related to delivery delays, supply shortages, or non-conforming goods.
  
• Monitor market trends and stay updated on changes in pricing and availability.

Required Skills :

• Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho, etc.) is a plus.
  
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
