Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for toys, stationery, and related product categories.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers/vendors while maintaining quality, price competitiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Lead price negotiations and contract finalization to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Maintain healthy vendor relationships and resolve supply-related issues promptly.

Inventory & Dispatch Management

  • Oversee inventory planning, stock levels, and replenishment cycles across locations.
  • Ensure monthly stock dispatches are executed accurately and on time.
  • Implement inventory control measures to reduce wastage, stockouts, and overstock situations.
  • Track and analyze inventory turnover and recommend process improvements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Store Support
  • Work closely with store teams, visual merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure product availability and display alignment with sales plans.
  • Coordinate with finance to monitor COGS and align purchasing with budgetary targets.
  • Collaborate with operations for smooth inbound and outbound logistics.

Data & Reporting

  • Prepare detailed procurement, inventory, and vendor performance reports.
  • Utilize Excel and Power BI to track KPIs, analyze trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide actionable insights for improving supply chain efficiency and profitability.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement and inventory management, preferably in toys, stationery, or retail categories.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros preferred) and Power BI.
  • Proven experience in COGS analysis and cost optimization.
  • Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
