Procurement & Logistics Specialist

This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient procurement activities, particularly focusing on the purchase of Materials & Services. You will lead and manage e-bidding and e-auction events to drive competitive sourcing, transparency, and cost optimization. This includes identifying potential suppliers through digital sourcing platforms in collaboration with the relevant category team and qualifying them in coordination with Supplier Quality.

The role will support ABB Global Industries Pvt Ltd to be based at Bangalore.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Identifies new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.
• Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions.
• Oversees supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time), and resolves performance issues.
• Initiates Purchase Orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors, and tracks supplier performance to PO requirements.
• Aligns supplier orders with customer requirements (based on ERP or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and price.
• Ensures the SAP Ariba platform is updated as defined in the procedure.
• Conducts e-biddings and reverse auctions using digital procurement platforms to ensure competitive pricing and transparency.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
• 5-9 years experience in procurement/supply chain or related domain.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software tools.
• SAP ARIBA modules related to e auction, contracts, qualifications.
• Good knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain practices.
• Basic understanding of the types of goods/materials to be purchased.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
