Job Summary:

MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Purchase Executive

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:

  B.Tech Mechanical/ Electrical with MBA, SCM

• Experience:

  4-7 years of experience in MRO procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles.

• Preferred:

  Experience in Steel manufacturing, Engineering.

Role & responsibilities

1. Procurement & Sourcing:

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for MRO materials, spare parts, and consumables.
• Issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Track and manage the procurement process to avoid delays in maintenance and production operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement guidelines.

2. Vendor & Supplier Management:

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
• Assess vendor performance based on cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.

3. Inventory & Material Management:

• Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory of MRO items.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to understand material requirements.
• Minimize stockouts and overstocking to optimize working capital.

4. Cost Optimization & Budgeting:

• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Assist in budget planning for MRO purchases.
• Analyze spending trends and generate reports on procurement activities.

5. Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier agreements, and invoices.
• Collaborate with finance and accounts teams for timely payments and invoice processing.

6. Coordination & Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to align MRO procurement with operational needs.
• Address and resolve issues related to vendor performance, delivery delays, or quality concerns.
• Provide periodic reports and updates on procurement status to management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of MRO products, suppliers, and procurement processes.
• Ability to analyze costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Proficiency in SAP,
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
