Sr. Engineer- Costing

We are seeking a skilled and experienced COE (Center of Excellence) Costing Lead to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the cost estimating and costing activities for the

organisation, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing for our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cost Estimation:

• Lead the development of cost estimates for new products and services .

• Analyse cost data and market trends to accurately estimate costs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for cost

estimates.

2. Costing Analysis:

• Analyse product costs to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process

improvements.

• Develop and implement cost reduction strategies to improve profitability.

3. Price Negotiation:

• Lead price negotiation with customers to ensure competitive pricing.

• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop pricing strategies.

4. Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and

accuracy of cost estimating and costing activities.

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for cost estimating and costing

processes.

5. Supplier Cost Analysis:

• Analyse supplier costs to negotiate competitive pricing and terms.

• Monitor supplier performance to ensure cost competitiveness and quality.

6. Cost Modelling:

• Develop and maintain cost models to support pricing decisions.

• Analyse cost variances and provide recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering preferred with knowledge of financials with awareness of

including, ZERO Based, Should Costing and Benchmark pricing

• 6 8 years of experience in cost estimating, costing, or a related field, preferably in the

automotive industry.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in cost estimating software and ERP systems.
