Role & responsibilities

• Responsibilities: Indirect Procurement Intern

• Intern will be responsible for learning the aspects of Strategic Sourcing

within the Indirect Procurement organization

• This will include gathering requirements with internal client, conducting

sourcing events, negotiating commercial and legal terms and conditions

• Intern will work closely with an assigned Mentor to learn the aspects of

various Indirect Procurement categories

Position Purpose: Learn and understand the principles of Strategic Sourcing

• Under general supervision, applies understanding of strategic sourcing

principles to source a variety of indirect materials including services,

equipment and supplies necessary for the operation of the Company with

a focus on cost, quality and service

• Develop relationships with key suppliers within assigned commodities
• Utilize analytic methods to determine spend within commodities
• Understand business processes to support operational (PO) process

execution with guidance from management

• Participate in projects within their region or team with management

oversight

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and consolidate requirements with stakeholders to determine

appropriate methods of purchase such as eSourcing, spot purchase

orders, contracts or blanket

• Create and run eSourcing events
• Review responses and conduct selection process with stakeholders.

Including review of proposals, quotes and negotiate with suppliers to

obtain best quality, price and delivery

• Utilize eProcurement tools to perform spend analytics and conduct

eSourcing events

• Ensure adherence to contractual agreements, purchase orders,

regulations and company polices

• Provide analytical support that drive improvements to reduce costs

throughout the supply chain.* Become knowledgeable about markets

conditions and trends, formulating short and long term strategies to ensure

quality and continuity of supply while minimizing total cost

• Execute all activities associated with Source-to-Pay such that orders are

issued and invoiced in a timely manner

• Communicate effectively with key stakeholders on all levels
