Procurement and Inventory Assistant

As a Procurement and Inventory Assistant at ABU Construction, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the efficiency of procurement operations and the accuracy of inventory management, both of which are crucial for the success of our projects. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment for construction projects, collaborating with vendors to secure the best prices and terms, tracking and expediting purchase orders to meet project deadlines, maintaining inventory records, conducting regular audits, forecasting material requirements, managing stock reorders, and supporting vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget control. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field, along with 1-2 years of experience in procurement or inventory management, preferably in construction. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management systems, excellent communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Knowledge of construction materials and industry supply chains would be beneficial.
