Role Overview

The Process Safety Officer ensures 100% compliance of process safety recommendations and implementation of process safety Aarti elements while driving safe process operations. The role supports continuous improvement of operations, fosters process safety culture, and contributes to organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Play a key role in implementation of all elements of PSM as per AMS, across the assigned divisions
   
2. Review of MOC's and participate/review the Process Hazard Analysis like HAZOP, What-if for the changes
   
3. Responsible for PIC - HAZOP (Red Risk), HIRA, 100% Compliance at division level
   
4. Responsible for tracking of PIC HAZOP for completion at divisions
   
5. Monitoring of Process Parameters & Process Safety Deviations on weekly basis
   
6. Emergency Relief sizing of reactors and distillation column as per international standards
   
7. Reviewing the RCA of deviation and CAPA for the effectiveness
   
8. To perform Job Cycle Check (JCC) for identified critical operations and tracking the points for closure
   
9. Validation of process, storage conditions by interpretation of Risk Study Reports like TSu, RC1e, ARC and providing recommendations for safe operations
   
10. To prepare Risk Study dashboard for all processes and monitor the progress as per the plan
    
11. Tracking of the recommendations from validation exercise for closure and perform the sampling of closed observations to check the effectiveness
    
12. Conducting process safety audits like H2 Venting, Vacuum audit, Quench system, Storage tank condition, Emergency Quenching system to ensure the system is working as per intended design
    
13. Implementation of program and initiative for development and sustenance of PSM culture in respective zones
    
14. Work very closely to assist in the process of development and implementation of process safety guidelines
    
15. Impart identified PSM and other specialized trainings for employees
    
16. Implementation of harmonized system of recommendation tracking and driving 360 degree implementation of QRA, process safety incidents, applicable learnings from corporate driven LFI meetings
    
17. Preparation of monthly Process Safety Indicators
