Job Description

Responsibilities:

Ensure full compliance with environmental laws and biomedical waste management rules (e.g., BMW Rules 2016, CPCB guidelines).
Prepare and maintain all required environmental documentation and reports for audits and inspections.
Liaise with regulatory agencies (CPCB, SPCB, MoEFCC) and represent the facility during inspections or audits.
Supervise and optimize the operation of autoclaves, ETP and related waste treatment technologies.
Maintain Logbooks of Autoclaves, Incinerator, ETP, etc.,
Monitor and evaluate emissions, effluents, and residues to ensure compliance
Develop and implement strategies to reduce environmental impact, including energy consumption, emissions, and waste generation.
Drive continuous improvement projects for operational efficiency and pollution control.
Support occupational health and safety programs related to hazardous waste handling.
Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers, operators, and facility staff on best practices in biomedical waste handling and treatment.
Lead cross-functional teams for environmental projects and initiatives.

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of pollution control systems (incineration, effluent treatment, air emission control).
Excellent knowledge of regulatory reporting systems (e.g., Annual BMW Reports, Manifest tracking).
Proficient in environmental monitoring instruments and data analysis.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic with strong attention to detail.
